I will most likely be offline tomorrow for Thanksgiving, so I thought I'd post a Thanksgiving blog today. First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who reads my blog (both followers and anonymous lurkers)! Today is going to be a slow day at work. There are not many documents coming in because most students are gone for the Thanksgiving break. The work-studies who work for me decided to throw a Pre-Thanksgiving party. I'm making a Chili-Cheese Dip with a small crock pot to contribute to the party. I also see a couple rotisserie chickens, something from KFC, soda, and Hot Chocolate. But, not everyone is here yet. Tonight, I'll prepare the turkey and get it ready to put in the oven tomorrow. Joi is super-cleaning the house and preparing everything else. She is also taking Garrison to the doctor today. He has had a sore left big-toe that appears red and swollen. Not sure what is up there. Tomorrow, more cooking. Then later on in the afternoon, Uncle Dale and the Ferris family are joining us for a Thanksgiving meal. It will be nice to see Steffanne, since she's been working so much lately. I usually get to see Russell once a week for lunch on Friday's. But, I haven't seen Steff much for a few months. After dinner, we plan to scour the Black Friday ads to find some good deals for Christmas. It should be a good day. It's going to be a chilly 32 degrees (as a high), but still no snow. I was hoping for a white Thanksgiving. Oh well...hopefully we'll still get a white Christmas. So, that is our plan for Thanksgiving. We have room for anyone else who might want to come join us. Anyone from California?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Ray and I are joining Sarah at her place for her first official Thanksgiving. She is preparing most of the dishes, but Ray and I are bringing a real turkey, as she is making a vegan "tofurkey". Work today will be slow for us as well. Most of the pastors have already left town and there is no Thursday service to prepare for. I am slipping out early to run errands and do some baking this afternoon. Miss you all and think about you all the time. I'm thankful for each and everyone of you. Get well soon, Garrison.
Happy Turkey Day Chris!! Blessings to all of your family!
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope it is wonderful.
