What if Mary and Joseph lived today? Would the Angel Gabriel text Mary on her Smarphone? Would Mary and Joseph use Twitter, Facebook, and Google to plan Jesus' birth? Would the Wise Men coordinate their gift giving digitally and then buy their gifts via Amazon.com? This is what it would look like if the Nativity took place today.

I show a "facebook" version of the Nativity Story this week on my facebook. It was actually really cute. I think if Jesus were here today, he'd use facebook becasue we do!
I think Jesus might not use facebook because He might be opposed to the idea of a corporation owning the rights to His relationships. Or maybe not. I see Him more as a social activist, and I think He would place a lot of value on actually spending time with folks.
