Ouch! My Face!
I don't know what is going on, but my face hurts. I have these painful, dry, irritated spots on both sides of my face near the corner of my eyes. I'm not sure what they are from. I've had them off and on for while now (1-2 years). My best guess is either dryness (it tends to be dry here in Colorado) or being irritated from something I am putting on my face. I am not exactly sure. But, they hurt and I can't get rid of them. Does anyone else have this issue or know of someone who does? Any suggestions? Here are the products that I put on my face on a regular basis.

How often are you washing/moisturizing? You shouldn't use a scrub every day... you should only use it maybe once a week. Remember, overuse of products is just as bad as under-use. Cetaphil is tested on animals, fyi. It was shocking for me to find that out, but it is. Sad day. You might want to limit your product usage to just a sensitive cleanser that doesn't overdry or over moisurize, and leave it at that for a little bit. Go to the bare basics and see if it gets any better, then try working up from there... after using just a cleanser, add a moisturizer... petroleum jelly cane be VERY strong and oily, especially for the skin on your face.
It looks like the same thing my husband Reed gets from time to time. It may be rosacea...go see a doc. They give you a steroid cream that works wonders! Another wonderful benefit of getting older I guess. :)
I wouldn't use Vaseline or Jergens on your face, they'll clog your pores and irritate your skin (they're fine for the rest of your body, but the skin on your face, and especially below your eyes is pretty delicate.) Get Aquafor instead. Also, I wouldn't use the apricot scrub; just use a glycerin or superfatted soap (like Pears or Basis, or Lowilla.)
I would also take two to four fish oil capsules per day (two every twelve hours.) I've been doing this for a few years now and I haven't needed lotion since I started.
